Hey :)

I’m María Fernanda Rodríguez, a Puerto Rican-based Photographer, Environmental Interpreter, Cyanotype Artist, Biologist, and outdoor adventurer. Ive been working with alternative photography processes like cyanotype and polaroid emulsion lifts. With my art, I create dream-like photography that captures ethereal, fragile moments, using crystals and prisms on my camera lenses and adding movement through long and double exposures.

I have worked and collaborated with indie artists of great value and recognition locally in Puerto Rico, such as Andrea Cruz, Mildred Eunís, Melisa Ocasio, Chuwi, and others. In 2024, I had the opportunity to document as an official photographer at the first edition of the País Sonora festival produced by No Toquemos Tierra. Also, I had the amazing experience of documenting a concert for the Icelandic artist Of Monsters and Men, Arny Margret, and Svavar Knutur.

Without a doubt, one of my favorite experiences has been documenting sailing regattas since 2016. My photos have been published in magazines such as Abordo Marine Magazine of the Dominican Republic, Bienvenidos Tourism Magazine in Puerto Rico, and annually in the Timonel News Magazine of the Ponce Yacht and Fishing Club.

Right now I'm working on my first Photography exhibition from my work at the art Residency NES in Skagaströnd, Iceland, and on my first Cyanotype animation with two amazing musicians from Puerto Rico.

Can wait to still share my adventures with you all.

-Ma. Fernanda
